Mister Hvidkjær can  you elaborate  the mission and vision of Europe Dialogue, and how it aims to foster informal dialogue among citizens, businesses, and politicians across Europe?

Startet as a project called : “Peopleambassador – Dialogue across borders” with reserarch trips to Ukraine, Kosovo and EU-studytrips. I have done global outreach to all the mentioned groups.

Regarding your professional experience, what are the most significant challenges and opportunities for citizen engagement in discussions about Europe and its institutions, such as the EU and NATO?

Challenge: Often a feeling that Bruxelles is far away, and people forget we are actually a part of both EU and NATO. Difficult to make people join meetings about EU when the EU-elections are fare away in time.

Opportunity: Many fundings where you Can make Dialogue-meetings about international relations. A better unstanding that NGO’s are important part of the systeme to create Dialogue about international organisations.

How do you perceive Denmark’s role in the EU evolving, particularly in light of its upcoming presidency in 2025 and its candidacy for the UN Security Council?

Great possibility to lead the EU-agenda and show Denmark to other EU-countries because of meetings 4 different places during EU-presidency. Denmark is now a part of UN Security Council and was President for Council in march 2025 with events according to Danish agenda.

What insights have you gained from your dialogues with citizens in 25 countries over the past few years, and how do these insights influence your work with Europe Dialogue?

Better understanding how diverse the World is and its important to actually practise EU-motto, United in Diversity with circular perspective.

Could you share your thoughts on the importance of informal dialogues in shaping public opinion and policy regarding European integration and cooperation?

Awareness about Dialogue is soft communication where you want to listen and understand and better than debate or discussion.

As the recipient of the EU Citizens’ Prize in 2022, what do you believe are the key contributions that individuals and organizations can make to promote cooperation and shared values within the EU?

Again and again talk about importance in EU values in the Treaty and make words to action.

In your writing book about Europe Dialogue, what key themes or messages do you transmit to your readers regarding the future of Europe?

Continue the spirit from *Cofoe – Conference about the future of Europe from 2021-22. I still work on national follow up on *Cofoe called Denmark in the World 2025 with 5 leading Rolls in international organisations.

What role do you see for organizations like Europe Dialogue in addressing current global challenges, such as climate change, migration, and security, within the context of European and international cooperation?

Its ok to realise we are a small player and small steps and contributions are also important.

What do you think about President Trump’s expansionist policy regarding the purchase of Greenland?

I tried to do a reset about Trump for his second term and be objektive more than emotionel – but difficult and worried about the trend with business approach instead of diplomatic Way.
