Interview with Sayd Khan, Founder Glory Future Foundation Bangladesh

C.S. I would like, for a start, to tell us who you really are, what is your occupation, your hobbies, your dreams, and anything else you want to share with us.

S.K. I am Sayd. I am a teacher and social activist working on children’s education. My hobbies are: I love gardening, writing poems and short stories, exploring new places to gather knowledge and making friendship with good human beings from all around the world. My dream Is to make a better world. I have observed in my life many students dream of becoming doctor, engineer, pilot and so on. But when they don’t have desire to be a good human being even though they think about the world and put any contribution after becoming doctor, engineer and pilot. So, from my side I think everyone’s dream should be a good human being.

C.S. Sayd Khan, I have always appreciated the enthusiasm of youths, those who fight for the development of the society they come from, those who raise their voices for the right to education and a decent life for all children, regardless of the environment they belong to. Following your activity, I know that you are one of them, so please tell us how and when you discovered this passion in you?

S.K. I have been working for humanity since my childhood. Honestly speaking from my childhood, I always wanted to be like my grandfather. My grandfather was a philanthropist. He devoted his life for the welfare of human beings. He was a founder of a medical college which is beside my house. When I saw my father’s benevolent activities my passion began to start to be like him.

C.S. I know you are a Climate Activist. What is your opinion about climate change and how do you think we can act?

S.K. Climate change is a threat in today’s world as I live in Bangladesh so we have to deal more with the effects of climate every year our country is suffering greatly due to climate change which is causing a terrible disaster in our economy. The countries in the world that are responsible for climate change are not doing their part so I think we all need to come together and put pressure on them. There are many young women in our country who are getting the right idea about climate but they are not able to act because of lack of proper funding. So, we have to put pressure on the rich countries that are responsible for climate change. World leaders have been warned but they are not taking action so if we all come together and put pressure on them, I think they will move on.

C.S. I found out that you like reciting poems. It’s a hobby… not exactly common… Where does this passion come from?

S.K. Poetry recitation and poetry writing is my hobby. I never consider it as a profession. I want to inform you that two years ago I lost my beloved father since then I started focusing on poetry writing and recitation. Poetry is a force in my life through which I can express all my feelings, I can express all my hopes and aspirations, I can express my rebellious spirit, I can stand against injustice, I can express the beauty of my life through poetry.

C.S. Among other things, you also you like to write. Tell us something about it.

S.K. When I have free time I like to write. I like to write novels and short stories. I want to tell all readers to be a good writer you need to read a lot of books. Love books! I am currently working on writing three books.

C.S. What or which is your greatest achievement so far?

S.K. All the things of earthly life seem relative and temporary to me but the love of people seems to me the greatest achievement as I work with children, the love children have given me so far and the love I have received from children is the greatest achievement of my life.

C.S. Tell us a few things about your activities as a social worker, please.

S.K. We are working on children’s education and youths empowerment. You know, the Glory Future Foundation is a voluntary organization that officially launched on January 1, 2021. It started with eight volunteers and now the Glory future Foundation has 120 young volunteers, all of which are students, working to bring changes to the world. The Glory Future Foundation has been working on children’s health awareness and education. It has been successfully conducting activities such as organizing picnics with children, raising awareness among the youth about child marriage, creating social awareness, tree planting, climate etc. Glory Future Foundation dreams of building a beautiful world and prosperous society on a day when every person will work for the welfare of the society from his / her own responsibility. The Glory Future Foundation wants to work worldwide to fulfill these dreams. We believe that we all can achieve more if we all move towards the goal to build a better world. As those who are working in this foundation are all students, we feel that we need some Advisors who will give us some good advice and inspire our youths so that they can have some good idea for doing their best to bring a big change in the world. I hope you believe that Inspiration is one of keys to change young generation’s lives.

C.S. Glory Future Foundation is an NGO whose founder you are. What does this organization represent for you?

S.K. Yes I took this initiative 3 years ago. There are 120 members who are working tirelessly for the welfare of human beings. Most of the volunteers are students. As we don’t have enough supporter, we don’t wait for funds we always try to find some non-budgetary program to solve the problems.

C.S. Can you share with us your biggest dream?

S.K. I have a dream in my life when I see it I want to work for people all my life because life is short but art is forever. I am working for children all over the world and will do it all my life to improve their fortunes and one day their fortunes will improve and they will be educated properly. My dream will come true on that day.

C.S. „A book can change your life” it’s a saying you believe in. Can you tell our readers more about it?

S.K. To be honest I wasn’t a good reader some years ago I didn’t like to read much but these few years I read a lot of books just for knowledge so when you start reading for knowledge that is real reading. I think a Book can change your life and a book can teach you to believe that everything can be achieved with hard work a book can teach you to conquer the whole world with the indomitable power that lies within you.

C.S. Mr. Sayd Khan, thank you for agreeing to answer my questions and I wish your dreams come true! Good luck!

S.K. Thank you for giving this opportunity dear Corina. Let’s make a better world together.
